4 Day Honeymoon
Four days is our recommendation for a great balance between exploring the best the valley has to offer and relaxing with your loved one.
Best start to a romantic gateway in the Hunter Valley:
We recommend starting with a long lunch at Bistro Molines to enjoy authentic French food in a beautiful setting reminiscent of Southern Europe and overlooking the vineyards.
Cedars Mount View is only a short scenic drive from Bistro Molines. You could then start your stay at Cedars with a romantic package of luscious red roses, candles and champagne set up around your villa’s spa bath/ hot tub to fully unwind and relax.
Finish your day with a romantic campfire stargazing package (late autumn to early spring only) or pic nic setting under the stars with a platter of delicious local cheese and wine.
Day 1 – Tasting beautiful wines and delicious food in style:
Enjoy a lazing morning basking in the sun on the deck of your villa or on one of the cosy day beds and sofas while waiting for a private wine tour tasting to pick you up at your villa. If flying is your thing, or if you want to really surprise your loved one, go for the helicopter lunch and wine tasting tour. With direct pick up from your villa’s lawn at Cedars, your private helicopter will take you to one of the best local wineries for a private wine tasting and three courses lunch and fly you back to Cedars for a well-deserved relaxing time in your villa. Otherwise, treat yourself with a private guided wine tour that will take you to some of the finest wineries in the region. End your day with a private chef who will prepare you beautiful food and transform your villa in a hatted restaurant for the night so you can enjoy the most intimate diner.
Day 2 – Unwind and relax:
Wake up early and start with a romantic hot air balloon ride over the vineyards at sunrise. Floating in the sky in silence is one of the most enchanting experiences in the Valley and you will have all the time in the world to soak in the beautiful views glimpsed in the helicopter the day before. Take the rest of the day to unwind and relax with walks on the property, enjoying your villa’s bath or spa and add a private massage session immersed in the sound of the local wildlife. Finish your day with a dinner at one of the numerous hatted and delicious restaurants the region has to offer.
Day 3 – Explore the less traveled scenic roads:
Go off the beaten tracks and explore the wineries that are further afield in the region. Start by exploring the historical town of Wollombi with its charming federation style cottages and local art galleries. It is also a great place for a brunch. Then drive towards Broke Fordwich on a scenic drive meandering along the Wollombi Brook river. There you will find several beautiful wineries and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while sipping delicious wine. End the day at another of those beautiful Hunter Valley restaurants that are on your bucket list or have a romantic dinner at your villa, cooking a beautiful BBQ hamper made of delicious locally sourced products while soaking in those mesmerising mountain views at sunset and enjoying that beautiful wine you bought earlier.
Day 4 – Enjoy those precious moments:
For your last day, take it slow, cherish those last moments at our couple retreat and watch the kangaroos grazing around your villa. Drive to the Hunter Valley Gardens for a romantic walk in a beautifully manicured setting and lunch in one of tasty nearby cafes and restaurants before heading on to your next adventure.
2 Day Honeymoon
2 days is the minimum we would recommend staying so you have enough time to enjoy what the Valley has to offer and relax at the same time.
Start with a Hunter Valley French experience:

Alternatively, the region offers a number of delicious and luxurious hatted restaurants to choose from for a romantic diner out.
Day 2 – Unwind with your loved one:
Start your second day with a well-deserved lazy morning and indulge yourself with a private massage in your villa and soak in the sound of the local wildlife.
You could then head to the Hunter Valley Gardens for a romantic walk and lunch in one of tasty nearby cafes and restaurants. And if your next step is towards Sydney, we will recommend driving down the back roads and having a stop at Wollombi for a bit of local history and scenic drives.
