In the year of his 80th birthday, highly respected and legendary winemaker, Karl Stockhausen's 2009 Signature Release Semillon, scored 96 points and the Best of the Best, by variety.

Robert Molines' new alfresco dining venue
Iconic Hunter Valley chef, Robert Molines and his wife Sally have just opened a new alfresco dining venue, called Briar Grillade at Briar Ridge Vineyard, a couple of minutes from the fabulous Bistro Molines at Tallavera Grove Vineyard.
Briar Grillade offers delicious plates of fresh, seasonal produce with the specialty 'mixed grill' cooked on the outdoor grill on the verandah. You can purchase wine by the glass or bottle and enjoy great coffee and yummy cakes for morning or afternoon tea.
Briar Grillade is open from Wednesday to Sunday daily from 10am to 4pm
Bistro Molines is open Thursday to Monday for lunch and Friday and Saturday nights for dinner.
Private car or helicopter transfers can be arranged with prior notice.
Bistro Molines wins Chefs Hat - SMH Sept 09
Bistro Molines has been trading for less than a year and is owned by legendary Hunter Valley chef, Robert Molines and his wife Sally. On September 08, 2009, it was announced that Bistro Molines was awarded a Chefs Hat from the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2010.
The summary from Simon Thomsen's review reads "Hunter stalwart Robert Molines is back to his best with a simpler, intimate and laid-back restaurant that lets his talent with local produce shine"
Cost: Entrees $23-$26; mains $39-$40; desserts $15-$16.
Open for lunch Thurs-Mon from noon to 3pm; dinner Friday and Saturday 6.30pm to 10pm.
A new accolade!
Robert Molines has been acknowledged once again by way of induction into the NSW Restaurant and Catering Association, JK Walker Culinary Hall of Fame, where he joins other legendary Chefs such as Tetsuya, Tony Bilson & Neil Perry.
